Vegan MoFo: Corn Maze Food

I went to my first ever corn maze last night. I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but I was kind of disappointed anyway. It was mostly...well, dead and trampled. But, we did get to partake in some nasty greasy carnival type food, which Josh was kind enough to model.

Behold, ladies and gentlemen, the a-maize-ing, the awesome, the frightening....tater twister!!!!
That is a $5 potato that has been thinly cut into one long potato chip and soaked cooked in oil. Along with that there too sweet lemonade, we had a complete meal. That counts as a fruit and vegetable, right?

We went to the corn maze this weekend, too! But we managed to hold out on the potato and only had fried dough...we are going to the State Fair this weekend and will eat fried potato there :-)

Oh my! I LOVE that stuff! They call 'em Saratoga Chips around here and I always get some at this spring festival I go to...also, I went to my first corn maze weekend before last.

It was supposed to be "haunted" (people occasionally jumped out of the corn to "scare" us but their attempts were pretty lame). My friend Greg and I were the oldest people there as most of the attendees were in high school or junior high.

Ahhh, carnival food, a surefire way to get all of your saturated fat requirements in for the day! ;)
